Chicago: Chicago police on Friday arrested a suspect in the shooting incident that took place on late Thursday night. In the shooting incident, two people were reportedly killed, while seven others were injured.
According to reports, an altercation between two groups escalated to the fatal shooting. The incident took place at around 10:40 pm local time near a train station at the intersection between Chicago Avenue and State Street on the city’s north side.

The fight between the two groups initially broke out outside a McDonald’s near the city’s Magnificent Mile shopping section, reported news agency Reuters. After the incident, the gunman fled from the spot.

The police also recovered the gun. Notably, authorities have not made details of the suspect public. As per the authorities, more details about the suspect would be made public after the charges will be filed against him.

It is the second shooting incident in the United States within a week. On Saturday At least ten people were killed, while several others were injured at a grocery store in New York’s Buffalo city after a gunman opened fire. after committing the crime, the gunman surrendered. Most of the people who died in the shooting were Afro-Americans.
