New Delhi: A close friend of Pakistan’s First Lady Bushra Bibi, Farah Khan, has denied that Imran Khan and his wife have any differences, according to The Express Tribune.

In a tweet on Sunday, she said Bushra Bibi is staying at Bani Gala, Prime Minister Imran’s residence in Islamabad, contrary to reports that she was at Farah Khan’s residence in Lahore.

The report mentioned Farah as saying that “fake propaganda was being spread about the couple”.

Farah added that one should not stoop to such low levels in politics that they spread lies about other people’s personal lives.

“I am surprised how someone made this up because Bushra Bibi has not visited Lahore in a long time,” said Farah, adding: “The First Lady is still in Bani Gala with her husband and they didn’t have any fights.”

This may be noted that Farah Khan is a frequent companion of the First Lady when she visits public welfare projects, such as shelter homes and hospitals.

As part of her surprise visit to shelter homes, Bushra Bibi interacts with the destitute in order to ensure that they are provided with decent food and facilities. The report further stated that she also instructs the management of these facilities to enhance the quality of service.

During a conversation with one of the residents of the shelter home last year, the First Lady said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had provided shelter for homeless people, while adding that the government is committed to giving people their rights.

On Sunday, an aide to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan warned that the government would take legal action against a journalist who made “insulting and fabricated” statements against Pakistan’s First Lady Bushra Bibi.

Shahbaz Gill, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, stated that “strict legal action will be taken against those who spread false news about the First Lady”, reported Daily Pakistan

A journalist had last week alleged that Bushra Bibi had “got into a fight with PM Imran Khan” and left Bani Gala for Lahore to stay at her friend Farah Khan’s house.

On social media, the journalist’s statement went viral and was widely shared in WhatsApp groups.
