Washington: Former US president Donald Trump has claimed that he would be arrested next week on March 21.
“THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!,” he wrote on his post on Truth Social.
Trump criticised Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office and termed it as “CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL”.

“Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorneys office,” Trymp wrote in his post.
The former US president claimed that Bragg has been acting against him on the behest of liberal billionaire George Soros.
Reports stated that Manhattan District Attorney has focussed on Trump’s payments of hush money to Stormy Daniels.

It may be recalled that Daniels, an adult star, had claimed she had an affair with Trump in 2016 and received $130,000 in hush money payments from the billionaire.
Donald Trump has categorically denied Stormy Daniels’ allegations.
It was alleged that $130,000 was paid weeks before the 2016 polls to stop Stormy Daniels, from going public about an alleged affair with Trump years earlier.
Stormy’s real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Speaking to CNBC, Trump’s lawyer told said that if his client was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, he would surrender to face criminal charges .
